I hear it time and again…
“Heather, I just don’t have enough time to fit in everything I WANT to do for my business. I’m feeling overwhelmed, and I’m struggling to create the traction I want to see.”
This is a struggle felt deep in the core of every single coach and healer that I’ve had the privilege to work with.
Everywhere you look there are guides, how-to’s, videos, tools, archives, etc that are geared towards making entrepreneur life easier. There’s sooo much information floating around about what it takes to run a successful coaching business that it can be difficult to discern what’s really the most important for the health of your business.
In reality, though, all these shiny objects end up doing is eating up more of the time and precious energy that you need to be putting into serving your community & clients.
Today, I want to help you break through the noise by sharing the TOP 3 Sanity Saver Systems that I have helped my clients put into place. I can personally guarantee that if you get these things rolling behind the scenes, you will be better able to make the impact you’re dreaming of as a wellpreneur.
Let’s dig right in.
1 – Content Generation
Having a solid content generation system and process is at the top of the list for several reasons. Let me break it down for you.
How do you most often create solid connections with potential customers? The answer is simpler than you think!
Through sharing your knowledge & experience, you position yourself as an expert and an authority!
In order to do this effectively, though, you can’t just be throwing up whatever posts and content you can on the fly. Ok, well, SOMETIMES you can, but the results are not going to be anywhere NEAR as consistent as they would be if you put into place a system for creating high quality, highly targeted content!
PLUS I can promise you that creating on the fly is stressing you the hell out, EVEN if you think it’s not!
Instead, you need a system that tells you exactly what kind of content you’re going to post, when you’re going to post it, and what you’re going to talk about.
Here’s a quick example of what my system looks like. I highly recommend that you create something like this for yourself.
To make this process easier for you, I actually created a Canva template you can use and make it your own.
Find it here:
But this is only HALF the battle. You still need to take things 1 step further for this to be successful!
You need a content GENERATOR system! Basically, this is a tool that helps you to map out what topics you can and want to talk about. There are 2 keys to making a generator system a game-changer, though.
- You need to make sure that the content resonates with your target audience.
- You need to make sure you are clear enough about what services you offer, so that your content positions you as an expert and creates opportunities for your services to be the clear choice that solves their challenges.
The simplest free content generator tool I’ve come across thus far comes from creative digital marketing expert, Katie Steckley. She posted a video last year about How To Create An Instagram Content Calendar that I absolutely fell in LOVE with!
I’ve shared this video with several of my clients, and her system has been a game-changer for them! Check the video’s description for her FREE Content Matrix tool.
If you’re looking for a content generation tool that’s a little bit more up-level, I *HIGHLY* recommend Kamila Gornia’s Content Machine Bundle. I personally invested in this resource, and was able to generate an entire YEAR of content. In fact, the blog post you’re reading right now is a result of her process. The traction this system has given me has been well worth the cost!
2 – Lead Generation
Once you have a system in place for consistently creating content, your next area of focus should be using that content to generate new leads for your business! There are a million and one ways to do this, but today I’m just going to cover 2.
Make The Most Out Of Your Content
The first way I recommend for generating leads is by adding a call-to-action onto your social media posts & stories, blog posts, emails, and any other pieces of content that you’re creating. A call-to-action can be booking a call, leaving a comment, tagging a friend, joining a group, filling out a form, etc.
This is not the fastest way to generate leads, but it IS one of the most effective at producing QUALITY leads.
As people consume your highly targeted and well-positioned content, they’re building trust in you, your brand, and your expertise. If they’re REALLY resonating with it or it has shown them that you can solve a problem they have, that call-to-action hook at the end might just get them to start interacting with you more regularly, or even encourage them to buy into one of your services.
Create A Lead-Generation Funnel System
The second (and my favorite!) way to generate leads is through a Lead Generation Funnel System. This is a bit more advanced than just adding a call-to-action to your content, but it can produce lots of high quality leads very quickly if you’re using it correctly.
Lead Generation Funnels are definitely an up-level and advanced system, so I’m just going to share the basics with you today to help you understand how it works.
Every great lead gen funnel starts with providing something of high value, either for FREE or for a VERY small fee (these are called Tiny Offers). For a piece of content or a service to be considered high value, it needs to solve a major problem, OR point the consumer to the right path to solving their problem and leave them wanting MORE.
Creating this high-value content (also called a Lead Magnet) will involve you surveying your target audience to learn more about their challenges from THEIR OWN perspective, and using your expertise to provide solutions to them. Your lead magnet should also be geared DIRECTLY towards your ideal dream client.
If the lead magnet you produce DOES NOT solve a major challenge or problem and isn’t highly targeted to your dream client, I can personally guarantee that it is not going to work as effectively. You’ll either get TONS of unqualified leads who aren’t that interested in your offers, OR you will get a very small number of conversions. So DO NOT skip the survey step.
Another key thing to remember is that your Lead Magnet should have some kind of call to action or way for them to get into direct contact or work with you. If it does not, you are missing out on opportunities!
Once you have your killer lead magnet created, the next piece of your lead gen funnel is going to be marketing it. You can approach this in 2 ways.
Option 1: Share It In Direct Messages On Social Media
The first approach is to simply share it with people in direct messages on social media. Ideally, you’ve been having a conversation with someone, and they mention the problem that your lead magnet solves. In this situation, I highly recommend just sending them the file. Use your lead magnet to provide direct and immediate support for FREE and in exchange for nothing.
This method is on the slower side of things, but can be super effective because you’ve already somewhat built a rapport with the person you’re speaking with, and sharing your lead magnet will only solidify that.
Keep in mind, though, that this method is only super helpful if you’ve already started using DM’s as part of your marketing strategy.
Option 2: Create An Automated List-Building System
The second, more complicated approach to delivering your lead magnet solution is to work it into an automated list-building system.
Generally speaking, this up-level approach involves advertising your magnet on your website or using social media advertising. Your advertisement brings interested leads to a simple landing page that explains what your lead magnet is and the result they will see from using it. This landing page will also include a simple form that requests their name and their email address.
When the lead completes the form, they’re added to your email list and are then redirected to a secondary page that thanks them, and lets them know where/how to access their download.
It’s a good idea to include other connection points on this thank you page, such as a free group you run, or links to your social media.
Ideally, once they’ve signed up, they will receive an automated email that delivers the content they requested. This initial email is SUPER important, and is one of the most opened emails you’ll ever send to a lead on your mailing list, so make sure to use it wisely!
The last part of the automated list-building system is to send the lead a series of pre-written and automated emails.
These emails should contain more information about you, maybe provide even MORE free and valuable content, and DEFINITELY provide opportunities for them to get in on your services. Basically, if your system is correctly structured and positioned, you’re providing SO MUCH VALUE to these people that they can’t help but want to dig deeper with you.
The best part? Once you get your system in place, it’s HANDS OFF!! It works in the background FOR you.
Listen, I know that establishing an automated lead gen system is complicated, time consuming, and a HUGE undertaking. I want you to know that I can most certainly help you with this!
If you’re ready to dive into this up-level marketing method, but aren’t techy, OR just don’t have the time to work out all the details, let’s chat and see how I can help you. You can use the button below to schedule a discovery session with me.
3 – New Client Onboarding
Once you’ve got leads rolling in, and are converting those leads to clients, this last sanity-saver system comes into play! For many, this one is the no-brainer they WISH they would have thought of a long time ago.
I am constantly talking to coaches and healers who are spending COUNTLESS hours onboarding their new clients. Often, they also find themselves forgetting to provide important pieces of information or skipping steps in the process because they’re so busy focusing on other aspects of their business.
The best way to solve these issues is to create an automated New Client Onboarding system. You can do this with any email marketing platform that features an automated workflow function.
Imagine for just one second how AMAZING it would be to provide a new client with a top-level experience by simply adding their name and email address into your system, and walking away?
Yep. It’s that simple!
Even better? These systems can be updated and tweaked as often as you like, so if something within your business changes, you can adjust your onboard system to account for it.
I highly recommend that your onboarding system is a series of emails spanning the first 30 days of your new client’s journey.
The first couple of emails should act like a “New Client Orientation”, giving them ALL the information they need to get started, setting expectations, and giving them a quickstart checklist to keep them engaged.
Subsequent emails in the system should check in with the client regularly to see how they’re doing, offer opportunities to answer questions or schedule a call with you, and also give you a chance to upsell to other products/services that might serve their needs.
One final aspect to this onboarding system should be adding in an AUTOMATIC testimonial generation email. After an acceptable period of time where your client should be seeing results –say 30 to 60 days– you can set your system up to send an email requesting feedback!
This can be done through a form/survey, or by simply asking questions and letting them know that their responses may be used as a testimonial for your business. Make sure to always get permission, first, though!
You can set up as many of these onboarding systems as you need, too. So if you have multiple services (or are a network marketer building a team!) and have different processes, you can still take a load off and let these personalized automation emails do the work for you!
Automation system installation is one of my signature services, so if you’re ready to take the stress out of signing new clients and get back to focusing on getting them RESULTS, let’s meet and discuss how I can help make your business run more smoothly.
